Citizen Electronics has moved from the watch business to the electronic device business and at the same time implemented innovation. We have developed our business focused on LEDs, but our target is moving from cellular phones, which were our principal market, to the general-purpose lighting market. LED lighting has become incredibly popular due to its environmental benefits, etc. It seems that every light in the world is being replaced with LEDs. We aim to expand our business in the rapidly developing market by utilizing miniaturization and precision technology cultivated through our watch business.
The benefit that we can provide for our customers is our prompt response. For instance, if our customer asks us to make a sample as soon as possible, we immediately produce LEDs for lighting without the use of a mold. These LEDs are easily manufactured and highly reliable. This is our unique technology that other firms cannot match.
In addition, as one of the advantages we offer, we send FAEs (Field Application Engineers) who respond to our customers directly in order to expedite communication and satisfy their technical requirements. As capable personnel are our resources, we actively enhance the development of human resources with programs such as language education and technical training.
In order to meet customers' needs in a precise manner, we are currently innovating our production. Under the slogan "Innovation for Progress," Citizen Electronics will continue to meet the challenge so our highly reliable and low-cost LEDs for lighting will be used all over the world.
